Starting over can be quite difficult considering the kind of ride we had in 2020 but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be willing to give it a try.
Around this time of the year, a lot of people are making New Year resolutions and making promises of what they’re willing to do better this year while the percentage of people who will actually live by this resolutions are few, there are others who 2020 really dealt them a heavy hand and so this year they’re not planning on doing anything other than existing.
My blog post today is for the other category, people who are too tired to do anything because how difficult 2020 was.
The truth is I also suffered some degree of depression, a lot of things I was hoping to achieve and do, I just couldn’t and at some point, I felt suffocated with pandemic and lockdown and as the year gradually came to a close I started feeling anxious again.
I asked myself,
Am I going to carry this thing over again into the New Year?
Am I going to keep praying for the things I prayed for in the New Year?
And the very thought alone made me feel depressed… luckily enough during this episodes I listened to a message from church and it gave me all the push I needed to start over in the new year.
All I want to tell you is that it’s okay to start again irrespective of what life might have thrown you, starting again or starting anything new will always difficult but deciding to remain at one stop is also not an option.
Anyway, this is me reminding you that you’re not alone and that we all go through tough times and it’s okay to start over.
