Let’s admit it. Adulting and life itself can be hard and with the year gradually winding down there are always tendency to feel less motivated and there’s also the pressure of hoping you get to accomplish all of the goals you have written down before the year ends.
Here are a couple of ways to motivate yourself, whenever you feel less motivated.
Let me know which one works well for you or if you have tried any before.
1. Do something small and create a flow
Start with the small things on your list and work your way up. The idea is for you to feel a sense of accomplishment with the little progress made even as you get ready for the next big thing.
2. Be your own yardstick.
We are well aware that comparing ourselves with other is not wise so its always best to be compare yourself with yourself. There will always be people ahead of you and not necessarily because they are better than you but that’s just the way life is.
So focus on you. On your results. And how you can and have improved them.
3. Get out of your comfort zone.
Nothing ever happens in the comfort zone. So be willing to push yourself out of the known to the unknown and trust in your abilities.
4. Find out what makes you happy.
Then do that. As much as you want or can.
5. Be an Energizer
And once you have all that energy, don’t be stingy with it. Sharing it with others around you will boost your performance as well as theirs.
6. Make each day count.
We don’t have all the time in the world. So focus on learning to take each day as it comes.
No comparison; success in life is relative to assignment. Thanks for sharing Yinka.
I like the way you explain going at your own pace… “Success in Life is Relative to Assignment”.
